How It Works

Light’s Edge is a tabletop RPG designed for at least two players with a standard D4 - D20 set of dice. One player assumes the role of the Guide, while everyone else experiences the adventure through their Fatecaster.

As a Fatecaster, you’ll harness technological sorcery, make pacts with primal gods, delve into sunless ruins, and uncover legendary treasures.

  • Fate Cards aid your allies or hinder your enemies. Unless the card specifies otherwise, Fate Cards may be played any time allowing you to effect world even when it’s not your turn.

  • The game is designed to be played as soon as you crack open the box. Basic versions of the rules are called out when relevant, so your group can learn as they play.

  • We take our core principal of epic adventure, tiny commitment very seriously. Emphasis has been placed on stream lining mechanics to keep the game moving. Additionally, our campaigns are composed of segments that provide meaningful progression in just a few hours. While an adventure may contain multiple segments, your group should reach its thrilling conclusion in a handful of sessions, if they survive that long.

  • Each adventure includes monster cards, item and gear cards, and pre-made characters to keep your table adventuring instead of hunting for rules.

What’s it like to play?

During intense combat designed to be over in minutes, not hours, you’ll use wits, gear, and tactics to survive.

Fate Cards can affect the world even when it’s not your turn. Boost and ally or hinder an enemy, there are always opportunities to play.

Character progression grants Fatecasters more tools to handle what the galaxy throws at them, but a slug through their chest will always ruin their day.

The tools to take on the galaxy.

From character and ability sheets, to items, gear, and equipment templates, we’ve got you covered.

Yet the most powerful tools in a Fatecaster’s belt are their skills and core paths. Using the martial skill as an example, you could choose the Juggernaut core path and wade into battle with vicious strikes, or be a Protector and stand between your allies and destruction. With a variety of skills and core paths to select, you’ll meld a unique Fatecaster that suits your play style.
